MARION, Ill. – Seventh-seeded Missouri S&T won the winner-take-all championship game on Sunday to secure the 2025 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Baseball Championship, taking down No. 2 University of Illinois Springfield 11-1 in the title game at Mtn. Dew Park.
The league crown is the first in the sport for the Miners after making its first-ever appearance in the Championship game. Missouri S&T earns the automatic-qualifying bid to the 2025 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional tournament, which starts on May 15, and will learn its seed in tonight’s selection show at 10:30 p.m. ET.

- UIS opened the scoring with a bases loaded walk in the third inning.
- S&T then rattled off 11 straight runs with Drew Baugus hitting a game high four hits and having four RBI
- Tyler Prince added two hits and two RBI for the Miners with Denton Damgaard getting three hits.
- UIS Noah Caceres went 2-for-3 with the RBI walk.
- S&T’s Jacob Cook pitched 5.1 scoreless innings in relief, picking up the win.
