INDIANAPOLIS – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) joins William Jewell College and the Liberty community in mourning the passing of football student-athlete MicahJo Barnett on Saturday, August 29.
“The entire GLVC community is heartbroken by the loss of MicahJo,” said GLVC Commissioner Jim Naumovich. “We encourage the ongoing support of his family, teammates, coaches, Cardinals’ athletic department staff, first responders, William Jewell College and Liberty communities, and all those impacted by this tragedy.”
The Conference has asked each GLVC member institution to observe a moment of silence prior to a home athletic contest of their choosing this weekend in memory of Barnett.
