GLVC men's basketball steps out of divisional play this week to set up some featured matchups between the top teams in the East and West Divisions. On Thursday, East leader Bellarmine (10-1 GLVC) welcomes Drury (6-5), which is currently third in the West, while UIndy (8-3), which is fourth in the East, travels to West co-leaders Truman State (8-3) and Quincy (8-3). UW-Parkside (9-2), currently tied with Southern Indiana (9-2) for second in the East, heads to Rockhurst (6-5) on Thursday to face a team tied with Drury for third in the West.

The Hawks moved to 7-5 in league play, good for third in the West behind Quincy (9-3) and Truman State (8-4). In other ranked action, No. 8 Bellarmine topped Drury, 87-64, to maintain the East lead at 11-1, while No. 17 Southern Indiana (10-2) held off Missouri S&T, 86-78. Indianapolis, Lewis, McKendree, Missouri-St. Louis, and Quincy all earned wins on Thursday.

Quincy maintained its lead in the GLVC West after capturing its fifth straight win Saturday in an 89-82 decision over Indianapolis. Led by Joseph Tagarelli's 34 points, the Hawks move to 10-3 in conference play, one game ahead of Truman State, which scored a 96-77 win over Saint Joseph's. In the East, Bellarmine remains in first at 12-1, following an 80-59 win over Missouri S&T. Southern Indiana is one game back at 11-2 after a 77-51 victory against Drury. Lewis and UW-Parkside are both tied for third at 10-3, as the Flyers netted their fourth straight win in a 75-54 contest at Rockhurst, while the Rangers rebounded to score a 79-75 win at William Jewell. In the loss, Jewell's Matt Lassen was the second GLVC standout to eclipse the 30-point mark on the day, scoring an even 30 points on 11-of-17 shooting.
