GLVC men's basketball tips off Monday with Southern Indiana and William Jewell in action.  The Screaming Eagles will look to improve to 4-2 with a home win over Fisk, while William Jewell will try to remain unbeaten and move to 5-0 with a win over Baker.

Two USI standouts each hit the 20-point mark Monday night to help USI survive a battle with Fisk University, 72-65. USI watched its record to 4-2 overall in 2017-18, while Fisk, which is a member of the NAIA and considered the game an exhibition, remained 5-1.  William Jewell remained undefeated in 2017-18 with an 80-65 win over Baker University on Monday.  The Cardinals' 5-0 record is the best start for the program since 1987-88.

After seeing its 15-point lead shrink to just four, No. 3 Bellarmine unleashed a 16-2 run on homestanding Wayne State and coasted in with a 65-50 victory at the Matthaei Center on Tuesday night.  Ajay Lawton scored 16 points to help UIndy net its third straight in-region victory Tuesday with a 62-61 thriller at Ashland.  Gilwan Nelson scored a career-high 18 points while GLVC Player of the Week Eddie Longmeyer also added 18 to help Illinois Springfield over the 100-point mark again in a 104-47 result over Robert Morris-Springfield. Alex Hagan collected 20 points and 14 rebounds to power Rockhurst to a 73-59 victory over Missouri Western.  Elsewhere, Hillsdale rallied from an 11-point halftime deficit, behind eight three-pointers, and held Lewis to 20 points over the final 20 minutes to earn the 71-58 regional victory over the Flyers at the Hillside Lanes Thanksgiving Classic.

No. 3 Bellarmine scored a signficiant resume win on Friday with a top-10 victory at No. 8 Barry, 75-69, during day one of the Buccaneers' Cesar Odio Thanksgiving Classic.  William Jewell also remained perfect on the season with a 92-76 win over Lincoln, while Quincy's 83-77 decision over Illinois College gave first-year Hawks' head coach Ryan Hellenthal his first career win.  Also in the win column Friday was Drury, which topped Minnesota State Moorhead by 20, 101-81.

GLVC teams posted a 7-4 record on Saturday to close out the week's action.  No. 3 Bellarmine and William Jewell scored victories to remain unbeaten on the season at 6-0 and 7-0, respectively.  The Knights went 2-0 at Barry's Cesar Odio Thanksgiving Classic after a 76-74 win against Lynn.  The Cardinals earned their seventh straight win with an 89-75 result over Minnesota State-Moorhead.  Elsewhere, Drury hit 17 three-pointers and held off Lincoln for a 100-90 win for a 2-0 record at the Panthers' DoubleTree by Hilton Thanksgiving Classic.  Other GLVC winners included Illinois Springfield, Lewis, Missouri-St. Louis and Southern Indiana.
