The final game of the GLVC men's basketball regular season is upon us and both Bellarmine and Quincy will be looking to secure wins over their respective travel partners, Southern Indiana and Truman State, for outright GLVC East and West Division titles.  The Screaming Eagles and Bulldogs, however, can earn a share of the divisional crowns with wins on Thursday.  Elsewhere, with 11 GLVC Championship Tournament bids locked up, Missouri-St. Louis and William Jewell will be batting for the 12th and final bid.  If UMSL defeats Maryville and Jewell knocks off Rockhurst, both teams will boast a 5-13 record, and the Tritons will receive the tiebreak based on a better divisional record.  The same result occurs if both teams lose on Thursday and fall to 4-14, meaning Jewell needs to defeat Rockhurst and have UMSL lose to Maryville to make the postseason tournament.

The 12 teams to clinch a berth in the 2017 Deaconess GLVC Men's Basketball Championship Tournament were decided Thursday evening after the conclusion of the regular season. Bellarmine earned the East title and top seed, while Quincy claimed the West crown and grabbed the No. 2 seed. Bellarmine defeated Southern Indiana in a top-10 matchup that aired on the American Sports Network and NCAA.com, as the Screaming Eagles earned the tournament No. 3 seed. No. 4 UW-Parkside rounded out the top-4 postseason teams, all of which earned a first-round bye, after finishing up with a win over Lewis. Missouri S&T and Saint Joseph's both won Thursday, but the Pumas edged S&T as the No. 10 seed for the league's championship event. Elsewhere, Missouri-St. Louis beat Maryville and squeaked into the GLVC Champioship Tournament as the No. 12 seed, while Illinois Springfield ended its season with an 83-75 win against McKendree and William Jewell did the same against Rockhurst, 84-80.
