Thursday will be the final day of the regular season for GLVC women's basketball. Though all 12 GLVC Championship Tournament teams have already been determined, hosting rights for the first round will be decided by the results of these final eight contests. Four teams sit at 9-8 in GLVC games, including Indianapolis, Truman State, Missouri-St. Louis and William Jewell; while two others hold an 8-9 league mark, including UW-Parkside and Maryville. The Tritons and Saints are the only two of that group that will meet on Thursday. Additionally, Southern Indiana and Bellarmine will tipoff at 5:45 p.m. ET in a top-25 contest to be aired on the American Sports Network as part of the NCAA Division II Showcase flex schedule.

The 2016-17 season came to an end Thursday night, as the 2017 Deaconess GLVC Women's Basketball Championship Tournament field was set. Drury won its last game and earned the top seed followed by Southern Indiana at No. 2 after a road win at Bellarmine that aired on the American Sports Network and NCAA.com. Lewis won its final game and picked up the No. 3 seed, while the Knights came in at No. 4 in the league's postseason event and join the other three with a first-round bye. William Jewell picked up a win over Rockhurst to get the No. 8 seed, while the Hawks enter the Conference championship as No. 5. Truman State defeated Quincy to take the last spot for hosting duties in the first round as the No. 6 seed, and Missouri-St. Louis won over Maryville to secure No. 7. Additionally, Saint Joseph's win against Indianapolis was big in helping the Pumas claim No. 10, while Illinois Springfield won its final game on the year over visiting McKendree, 62-45.
