Lewis' Kelliher named USBWA National Player of the Week

ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – Lewis junior forward Jessica Kelliher has been named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Women's Division II National Player of the Week for the week ending January 7.
On Monday, she was named the GLVC Player of the Week for the fourth time this season after averaging 28 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, 1.5 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game in leading the Flyers to a pair of league victories.
Kelliher recorded 30 points on 12-of-17 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and two blocks in an 82-59 win over Illinois Springfield last Thursday. The Waukesha, Wis., native followed that up with 26 points on 11-of-13 shooting in a 73-58 road win at Truman State on Saturday, while adding 11 rebounds, four assists and three steals.
She finished the week shooting 76.7 percent (23-for-30) from the field, while Lewis improved to 11-4.
Kelliher leads NCAA DII in scoring with 25.3 points per game.
