GLVC men's basketball action tips off week with a single non-conference game on Tuesday as Rockhurst hosts Haskell Indian Nations at 7 p.m. in Kansas City.  Thursday's league action is highlighted by GLVC West co-leaders Truman State and Drury meeting up for the second time in as many weeks.  The Panthers stunned the Bulldogs on a last-second shot in Kirksville on Jan. 15 for the 98-96 victory.  The two teams enter the week with identical 7-3 GLVC records.  Elsewhere on Thursday will be GLVC Central leader Maryville traveling to Southern Indiana.  The Saints are 8-3 in conference play this year, while the Screaming Eagles currently rank second in the GLVC East with a mark of 8-2.  Also of note is Bellarmine hosting Quincy and Illinois Springfield at Knights Hall this week.  The Knights currently boast the nation's longest home winning streak at 54 games.

Southern Indiana senior guard Alex Stein hit the game winner with 2.6 seconds remaining to lead the Screaming Eagles to a 61-59 victory over Maryville Thursday evening at the Physical Activities Center. USI, which has won five-straight and is 13-0 at the PAC this year, saw its overall record rise to 18-5 and 9-2 in the GLVC, while Maryville goes to 16-5 overall, 8-4 GLVC.  Stein finished with 22 points.  Pharroh Gordon missed just two of his 15 shots Thursday and posted 28 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals to give William Jewell a 91-72 win over Missouri S&T on a night in which Jewell head coach Larry Holley was formally recognized before the game for his 900th career win.  A late 9-0 run helped Missouri-St. Louis to a 71-65 road win at Lewis.  Elijah Watson scored five points during that run and finished with 20. He also recorded the double-double by pulling down 11 rebounds and dished out six assists. UW-Parkside put all five starters in double figures, led by Ramar Evans' 20 points in the Rangers' 79-70 home win over Illinois Springfield.  UIndy began the night with a sluggish start and survived a late attack by McKendree to win its third straight game in Nicoson Hall, 80-75.  Ajay Lawton had 17 points, nine assists, four rebounds and four steals in the win.  Drury saw Cam Potts (13) and Isaac Johnson (11) combine for 24 points off the bench to help the Panthers to an 88-71 victory over Truman State.  A strong second half defensive performance lifted No. 9 Bellarmine to its 55th straight home win as the Knights soared past Quincy, 75-54.  Leading just 35-29 at the halftime break, Bellarmine opened the second frame with a 16-4 run to open up a 17-point bulge at the 11:13 mark.  The Knights got a balanced scoring attack as four players scored in double figures paced by Adam Eberhard's 13 points to go along with his six rebounds and five assists.

A year after sinking a program-record 18 3-pointers against Illinois Springfield, Bellarmine drilled a season-high 14 triples against the Prairie Stars on Saturday as the Knights extended their nation's-best winning streak at home to 56 in a 79-54 victory in Knights Hall.  Another impressive streak was prolonged for Bellarmine, which sealed its 10th consecutive 20-win season. Junior forward Chivarsky Corbett scored a career-high 19 points behind a career-best five 3-pointers against UIS. Senior guard Brent Bach added 14 points and sophomore forward Alex Cook chipped in 11.  Lewis bounced back from a tough loss on Thursday with a 91-77 home win over McKendree. The Flyers had all five starters reach double figures in the contest led by Delaney Blaylock with 24 points.  Senior Steven Davis broke out of an offensive slump Saturday by equaling a career-high 26 points to help Missouri-St. Louis to a 57-49 road win at UW-Parkside.  Davis went 5-of-9 from three-point range, bettering his scoring output from the last five games combined (24 points). He also picked up three steals on the afternoon.  Aside from one tie and three lead changes in the early going, Truman State led Rockhurst for nearly 38 of the 40 minutes en route to a workmanlike 82-71 win over the Hawks.  Turner Scott and Brodric Thomas both had a team-high 17 points, Zach Fischer had 14 as he came within one board of a double-double, and Jake Velky added 13.  Southern Indiana led wire-to-wire in posting a 92-65 victory over Quincy. USI, which has won six-straight and is 14-0 at the PAC this year, exploded out of the gate in the first half and an 11-point lead, 15-4, before five minutes were gone in the game. USI would expand the lead to as many as 16 points by the intermission, 46-30. UIndy erased a 13-point second-half deficit in a come-from-behind win against Maryville. Four Greyhounds finished in double figures, including Ajay Lawton's game-high 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting to go with two assists and two steals.  Allen Billinger and Isaac Johnson both had 16 points to lead Drury past Missouri S&T, 90-85.  Missouri S&T shot 54 percent from the floor going 30 for 56 and were 12 for 28 from three-point range. Drury, however, outrebounded the Miners 38-27 and had 20 offensive boards as they fought off the upset bid. Chris Harris had a game-high 20 points for Missouri S&T.
