USI's Rickey Named D2CCA All-Midwest Region Player of the Year
10 Others Earn All-Midwest Region Accolades

ASHLAND, Ohio – Southern Indiana junior midfielder Sean Rickey has been named the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) Midwest Region Player of the Year, headlining a group of 26 players named to the All-Midwest Region teams that includes 11 from the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The D2CCA Player of the Year award and all-region teams are nominated and selected by the region’s sports information directors.
Seven GLVC players were named to the First Team, while four others were voted to the Second Team.
Indianapolis' Josh Mahon and Alejandro Steinwascher, along with Bellarmine's Jonas Skulstad and Micah Linscott earned first-team distinction, while Maryville's Christian Kjaersgaard and Quincy Aubrey Reis also found a spot on the First Team with Rickey.
Second-team honors went to Illinois Spinrgfield's Rys Wallace along with a pair of USI defenders in Kent Katzman and Colten Walsh and another Screaming Eagle forward, Eric Ramirez.
The 13 members of the All-Midwest Region first team will now be placed on the national ballot for All-America consideration. The All-America teams will be released on Friday, Nov. 30. The complete All-Midwest region teams follow.
