With just two weeks left in the regular season, GLVC men's basketball teams are fighting for position in the postseason.  Bellarmine currently holds the top ranking in the GLVC Point Rating System at 4.37, followed by Drury in second at 3.96.  The race for the GLVC Championship Tournament's third, fourth and fifth seeds are much closer as Southern Indiana and Truman State are tied for third at 3.79, while Indianapolis is in fifth at 3.75.  William Jewell, currently ninth overall at 3.07 and on the outside looking in, will host two teams currently in the field in Southern Indiana and Indianapolis on Thursday and Saturday, respectively.  Another key matchup Thursday will be Lewis (PRS #7) at Drury (PRS #2), while Bellarmine (PRS #1) at Truman State (PRS #3) will be the featured contest on Saturday.  All GLVC home games are available for free on GLVCSN.com, the GLVCSN iOS and Android mobile apps, and GLVCSN OTT apps on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Android TV.

No. 7 Bellarmine dominated in the early going and rolled to an 87-64 victory over Rockhurst on Thursday.  Bellarmine, which was without reigning GLVC Player of the Week Chivarsky Corbett due to back spasms, was led by Jarek Coles with a career-high 19 points.  William Jewell used a big second half run to down Southern Indiana, 94-81, which vaulted the Caridnals back into the tournament field at the PRS #8 seed.  Pharroh Gordon led the Cardinals with a game-high 23 points and 13 rebounds for his third consecutive double-double and his 12th this season. The junior also added five assists and two steals.  Marcus Hinton finished with a career-high 35 points in Quincy's 82-79 win at Illinois Springfield.  McKendree battled its way back into the win column thanks to an 88-84 victory at home against Missouri-St. Louis.  Senior guard Justin Blanks connected on a career-high six three-pointers in matching a season-high with 31 points to lead McKendree. Sophomore center Nolan Gerling and junior forward Malcolm Mabry each posted a double-double against UMSL as Gerling notched 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Mabry added 17 points and 10 rebounds.  UIndy earned a 97-85 victory over Missouri S&T, which marked the fourth-highest point total the Greyhounds have scored this season. On his second field-goal attempt of the night, senior Eric Davidson became the 40th member of the 1,000-point club in program history.  Truman State scored the game's first 20 points and its lead was slimmed to single digits just once after that as the Bulldogs cruised to a 29-point win over UW-Parkside, 89-60.  Zach Fischer finished with his 15th career double-double, 14th of the year, thanks to 23 points and 11 rebounds on an efficient 10-of-13 from the field, to give Truman its fourth straight win. Lewis climbed back to .500 with a 72-53 win at Drury. With the win head coach Scott Trost ties Gordie Gillespie for the most wins in school history.  The Panthers entered the game averaging 89 points per game but the Flyer defense held them to a season-low 53 points.

Tate Hall was at it again on Saturday afternoon, pouring in a career-best 31 points and grabbing 11 rebounds in UIndy's 90-79 win over William Jewell.  The Greyhounds match a season-high five-game winning streak with the victory, and earned their third straight away from Nicoson Hall.  Alex Cook netted 24 points and added nine rebounds in No. 7 Bellarmine's 82-70 win at Truman State, which saw Brodric Thomas and Jake Velky combine for 40 points in the loss.  Sophomore Kamau Kinder was nearly flawless as he helped guide Drury to a 74-57 win over UW-Parkside and in the process helped Panthers head coach Steve Hesser to his 300th career victory at the helm of the program. Kinder was 7-of-8 shooting from the floor including a perfect 4-of-4 from 3-point range to lead the Panther scoring with 18 points.  Lewis moved over the .500 mark for the first time this season with a 64-44 win at Missouri S&T. With the victory, Scott Trost posted his 221st win at Lewis surpassing Gordie Gillespie for the most in school history.  Nolan Berry sank 10-of-13 field goal attempts en route to 27 points to lead all five Maryville starters in double figures and the Saints to an 86-77 victory over McKendree.  With the win, Maryville clinched a share of the Central Division title.  Missouri-St. Louis fended off visiting Illinois Springfield en route to picking up a 79-72 win.  Johnathan Matthews scored 19 points, finishing 10-of-11 at the free throw line, and also collected two steals, while Eric Dust finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for his second double-double. Curtis Lewis had 29 points and Quinton Curry added 17 as Rockhurst held off Southern Indiana and its five scorers in double figures, 75-70.
