Bellarmine University senior Bridgette Mangold owns the lead in the heptathlon after four events with 2,884 points, followed by McKendree University senior Melissa Calcara (2,783) and junior Kirby Smith (2,713).  William Jewell senior Julia Parker (2,691) and Lewis sophomore Abbey Galusha (2,431) round out the top five.

The women’s and men’s 10,000 meters was scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. CT this evening, however a threat of severe weather forced the postponement of the two races until Friday at 9:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., respectively.

Action resumes at Lewis Stadium at 9 a.m. Friday with the 110-meter hurdles in the decathlon and the heptathlon long jump.
