INDIANAPOLIS – University of Illinois Springfield junior guard Jasmine Sangster has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in women’s basketball, it was announced by the league office Monday.

Team Results: 84-73 W vs. McKendree (1/5)
 
  • Helped UIS win first GLVC game and hand McKendree first league loss
  • Scored career-high 33 points on 11-of-16 shooting (.690) in 27 minutes of action, including a buzzer-beater from half court before halftime
  • Drained 3-of-5 (.600) from beyond the arc and was a perfect 8-of-8 at the foul line
  • Added five rebounds, two assists and two steals
  • Was also the highest scoring effort for a UIS player since 2014 when Meredith Marti tallied 36 on Dec. 10
  • Earns first career Player of the Week award
