OZARK, Missouri – Bellarmine University and the University of Illinois Springfield remained unbeaten on the second night of the 2019 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Baseball Championship Tournament, held at U.S. Baseball Park in Ozark, Missouri. 

The seventh-seeded Knights dropped No. 6 University of Southern Indiana from the championship bracket to the elimination bracket with a 14-7 victory in the third of four games Friday.  In the nightcap, the No. 4 seed Prairie Stars topped No. 1 seed Quincy 6-1.

Earlier in the day, No. 2 Maryville held off fellow GLVC tri-champion Missouri S&T 9-4 and eliminated the Miners from the tournament.  No. 8 seed Lewis University was also eliminated from the event following a 16-4 decision against No. 5 Drury University.

Saturday’s first pitch is currently scheduled for 9 a.m. CT, featuring Maryville and Southern Indiana.  A second elimination game will follow, pitting Quincy against Drury.  The evening games have Illinois Springfield and Bellarmine in the 4 and 7:30 p.m. games, respectively.  The Prairie Stars will face the winner of Maryville and Southern Indiana, while the Knights will do battle against the winner of Drury and Quincy.
