ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – After a very windy outing, four teams have advanced to tomorrow’s final match of the 2021 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championship Tournament at the Jack Oremus Tennis Complex on the campus of Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.

University of Indianapolis advanced on both the men’s and women’s side, while both Southwest Baptist University squads did the same. This will be SBU’s first appearance in the title match for both genders, while the UIndy men come into Sunday for the seventh-straight time and the women will play for the fourth time in the last six years.

No. 1 East and top-ranked Indianapolis will meet No. 1 West and 13th-ranked Southwest Baptist in the women’s final at 9 a.m. Central Time, while No. 1 East and fifth-ranked UIndy and No. 1 West and 22nd-ranked SBU will face one another at approximately 12 p.m. for the men’s title match.

Both Greyhound teams won 4-0 in their respective semifinal contests, as the women defeated #2W University of Missouri-St. Louis and the men topped #3E University of Illinois Springfield. The men will be looking to go five-straight seasons as GLVC Champions, while the women will play for back-to-back titles.

The Bearcats also swept both semifinals’ opponents, 4-0, with the women cruising past #3W Drury University and the men shutting out #3W UMSL.
