The 2012 Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Tennis Championship will be hosted by Drury University on April 20-21. The 2012 event marks the 31st annual GLVC Women's Tennis season.
The top four teams based on highest divisional winning percentage from each of the GLVC's two divisions earn a spot in the eight-team GLVC Women's Tennis Tournament. The event is single elimination with a third-place and championship match conducted on Saturday.
Bellarmine (1), Drury (5), Indianapolis (8), Northern Kentucky (6), Saint Joseph's (6), Southern Indiana (4) and former league-member SIU Edwardsville (1) have all recorded conference championships in the past. UIndy has claimed a league-best eight women's tennis titles with the last coming in the 2005-06 season.
Last year, Drury won its fifth consecutive GLVC Women's Tennis Championship by topping Lewis in the championship match, 5-1.
