Eight teams will vie for the 2014 GLVC crown and the opportunity to represent the conference at the NCAA Division II National Championship. Those eight teams will consist of the top three teams from the East Division, the top three teams from the West Division and two wildcard teams.

GLVC Volleyball Championship Tournament Moves to
East Peoria for 33rd Annual Event
After moving to a neutral site for the first time in its 31-year history in 2012, the Great Lakes Valley Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament returns to a neutral site for the 33rd edition in 2014.
Four quarterfinal matches will be contested on Thurday, Nov. 13, with the first beginning at 11 a.m. CT. A pair of semifinal matches will be played at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, with the championship match held at 12 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 15.
Lewis leads the current conference contingent with eight titles, followed by UIndy’s five, Southern Indiana's two, and Rockhurst with one. As for former league members, IPFW earned eight titles, Northern Kentucky won seven, and Ashland and SIU Edwardsville captured one title each. Lewis has claimed four of the last eight titles, most recently in 2010.
In 2013, #2E Indianapolis won the GLVC Tournament Championship 3-1 over #2W Truman State (25-23, 28-26, 23-25, 25-21), denying the Bulldogs a title in their first finals appearance.
The remainder of the 2013 GLVC Championship Tournament field was comprised of No. 1 Lewis and No. 3 Southern Indiana from the East Division, No. 1 Rockhurst and No. 3 Missouri S&T from the West, as well as wildcard selections Bellarmine and Missouri-St. Louis as the No. 4 seeds.
