Ward earns Kentucky Wesleyan’s first honor of the year after posting a KWC single-game record 387 all-purpose yards in the Panthers’ 42-35 win over Lindenwood-Belleville. Ward scored five touchdowns on the day in four different ways, including a 94-yard kickoff return and a 46-yard punt return to become the first KWC player in school history to score on a kickoff and punt return in the same game. The 94-yard kickoff return tied the second-longest scamper in school history. In addition, the Jasper, Ala., native returned three other punts for a grand total of 92 punt return yards for the game. On the offensive side of the ball, Ward carried 20 times for 141 yards and two touchdowns, while catching three passes for 60 yards and a score. On the day, Ward’s five touchdowns and 30 points were both school records.
