Binkerd was named to the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover All-Tournament team after ranking as one of the best setters in the event with 11.58 assists per set to help UIndy convert at a .291 team attacking percentage. Binkerd also had her best individual attacking week of the season with 1.58 kills per set and a .469 hitting percentage, including a season-high seven kills against Ashland and Wayne State and five kills vs. No. 21 Ferris State. The Wabash, Ind., native opened the weekend with a near triple-double of 49 assists, 15 digs, seven kills and two blocks while hitting at a .417 clip in a 3-2 loss to Ashland. She helped UIndy bounce back in the 3-1 nightcap against nationally-ranked Ferris State with 53 assists, nine digs, five kills hitting .444, and two blocks. She closed the tournament with 37 assists, seven kills hitting .545, six digs, four blocks and career-high two aces in a 3-0 blanking of Wayne State. With her 139 total assists, Binkerd moved into eighth at UIndy with 2,258 career assists.
This is the second career weekly award for Binkerd as she was first honored on Oct. 31, 2011. She is the first UIndy offensive honoree to be recognized by the conference since Kristina Kerrigan on Sept. 10, 2012.
