Playing in his final collegiate game Saturday, a 66-17 victory at South Dakota School of Mines, Thomas accumulated 80 yards in returns that included a 44-yard punt return for a touchdown – the third punt returned for a score by a Miner this season. He had three punt returns for 77 yards in the game and also caught eight passes for 61 yards, allowing him to break the S&T single-season record for receptions as he finished the season with 92 catches. The Quincy, Fla., native accounted for 141 all-purpose yards in the game. Thomas is the second straight Miner to be honored as Special Teams Player of the Week and fourth this season. His first honor comes on the heels of David Druse being lauded last week on Nov. 5, while Carlton Westbrook earned the accolade on both Sept. 3 and Sept. 24 this year.
