Indianapolis finished off its perfect run through the Great Lakes Valley Conference when Mills delivered a 10-yard touchdown scamper that proved to be the difference in the Greyhounds’ 31-24 come-from-behind win at Urbana last Saturday. The junior quarterback found the end zone on a draw play with just 1:35 left, good for his first rushing TD of the season. Minutes earlier with his team down eight points, Mills was a perfect 4-for-4 during the game-tying drive, including a seven-yard TD pass to Logan Young and a completion to Reece Horn on the two-point conversion. On the day, the Lafayette, Ind., native finished the game 21-for-35 for 207 yards and three touchdowns to go with 42 yards on the ground and the game-winning rushing TD. The award is Mills’ second of the season having also been tabbed by the conference office on Oct. 29. The weekly honor is UIndy’s fourth of the season as Mar’Quone Edmonds was recognized as the league’s top offensive player on Sept. 24 and Oct. 15.
