Missouri S&T junior forward Kylie Cooper has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 3-9, it was announced by the league office on Monday.

The Andover, Kan., native led the Lady Miners to their first GLVC victory of the season in a 66-63 win over Drury at the O'Reilly Family Events Center.  In the victory, Cooper recorded 13 of her 16 points in the second half.  She went 7-for-10 from the field, and added seven rebounds, and three blocks for .700 shooting in 21 minutes of action. 
 
Cooper is averaging 7.8 points per game, 4.8 rebounds per game, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting .429 from the field thus far this season.
 
Cooper garners the first weekly honor of her career and is the first Lady Miner to claim the award since Hailee Parks was recognized on Dec. 12, 2011.
 
S&T is off until Wednesday, Dec. 19, when it hosts Lindenwood University at 5:30 p.m., at the Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
