Drury University senior guard Alex Hall has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday.  Hall helped improve Drury to 6-0 on the season with a record-breaking shooting performance en route to 33 points in an 88-52 win over Missouri S&T in the conference opener for both schools on Thursday.

Hall hit 12 of 14 shots from the field, including nine of 10 from beyond the arc, which set a new Drury single-game record for three-pointers made in a game.  The Springfield, Mo., native completed the night shooting 86 percent from the field and 90 percent from the perimeter.  His stat line also included three steals, two rebounds, an assist and a block.

A first-team All-GLVC selection last year, Hall currently ranks tied for first in the conference in scoring with 21.0 points per game.  He sits fifth in the league in three-point percentage at .568, having made 25 of his 44 attempts on the year.

This is the second career weekly honor for Hall, who was first recognized by the league on Nov. 23, 2009.

Drury is now idle until a Dec. 15 game at Wayne State in Detroit, Mich.
