Maryville University senior forward Abby Duethman has been tabbed the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for contests played Dec. 10-16, it was announced by the league on Monday.
 
Duethman helped lead the Saints to a 62-55 victory over visiting Lincoln University of Missouri (5-4).   In the win, she registered her third double-double of the season with 18 points and a career-high tying 16 rebounds.   On the week, Duethman went 7-for-12 (58.3%) from the floor and made 2-of-2 free-throw attempts. She also contributed a career-high three blocks, two assists, and one steal in 35 minutes of action.
 
The Kansas City, Mo., native is averaging 15.9 points, league-best 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in seven contests.
 
The honor is Duethman’s second of her career having also earned the recognition on Jan. 9, 2012.
 
Duethman and the Maryville squad move to 5-3 on the year and will break for the holidays.  The Saints return to action on Sunday, Dec. 30 when they travel to Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Fla.
