Maryville University sophomore guard Armon Provo has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, after coming up clutch in a pair of Saints’ cross-divisional conference wins last week, including an upset over No. 4 Bellarmine.
Against McKendree on Thursday, Maryville was holding a one-point lead with 12 seconds left when Provo drained a three-pointer at the shot clock buzzer to help ensure the victory, 72-69.
