Bellarmine University senior shortstop Megan Murdoch and Missouri-St. Louis freshman pitcher Hannah Perryman have been selected the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league on Monday.

Murdoch batted .526 (10-for-19) with a .609 on-base percentage, seven RBI’s, and 10 hits to help Bellarmine to a 3-3 record in the Charger Chillout hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville.  The Indianapolis, Ind., native marked a .737 slugging percentage on the weekend and recorded one home run, giving her 33 for her career. She was also walked four times.  In the victory against Palm Beach Atlantic (7-5) and West Alabama (5-4), she posted a two-run hit.  Against Charleston, Murdoch received two walks, posted one put-out, and earned an RBI in two at bats.
 
In her debut, Perryman pitched Missouri-St. Louis to a 3-0 victory over No. 16 Central Oklahoma on Friday in the NFCA Leadoff Classic. She tossed the complete game shutout while striking out two, both of which was against reigning NCAA Division II Player of the Year Kacie Edwards twice, including once with the bases loaded. She also collected a win against No. 2 UC-San Diego on Sunday, tossing all five innings, allowing just one run on three hits, while striking out four. On the week, she finished with a 2-2 record in the circle. The Streamwood, Ill., native threw 24 1/3 innings, recording a 1.20 ERA, and struck out 30.
 
The Knights will host Lincoln Memorial and Ashland in their home opener, while the Tritons travel to Florence, Ala., to participate in the North Alabama Tournament.
