Drury University senior Erin Dolan and Bellarmine University senior Nora Bowe were selected Wednesday as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively.
Bowe won two events and was runner-up in a third this past week at the DePauw Classic. She set an NCAA provisional mark of 1.66 meters in winning the high jump and lowered her school record in winning the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.18. The Geneva, Ill., native is tops among all high jumpers in the conference and is tied for 26th nationally.
This is the first weekly honor of Bowe’s career and the first for a Knight since Mariah Schwenk earned Field Athlete of the Week accolades on Feb. 8, 2012.
