A pair of Missouri S&T standouts has swept the final Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors of the 2013 season, it was announced by the league on Wednesday.  Junior Adriel Hawkins has been named the GLVC Track Athlete of the Week, while sophomore Ryan McGuire earns Field Athlete of the Week accolades.

McGuire recorded a personal best and NCAA provisional mark of 16’01.25” in the pole vault at the Missouri Challenge last week.  His efforts rank him first in the conference and 16th in the country.  

The Hobart, Ind., native is the first Miner field athlete to be recognized by the conference office since Michael Grinde on Jan. 23, 2013.
