Bellarmine University freshman sprinter Kaysee O’Bannon and University of Indianapolis sophomore jumper Sydney Weinert were selected Wednesday as Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, respectively.

Weinert was tabbed GLVC Field Athlete of the Week after finishing fourth in the high jump at the Bellarmine Invitational this past week.  The Fort Wayne, Ind., native cleared an NCAA provisional mark of 1.72 meters, which currently ranks first among all GLVC jumpers.

Weinert earns her first-ever weekly award and is the first Greyhound to earn GLVC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week since Andrea Horban on April 13, 2009.
