Drury University senior runner Erin Dolan and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Katy Watson were selected Wednesday as Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, respectively.

Watson won the discus at the historic Indiana Little State Championships last week with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 43.86 meters, which is tops among GLVC competitors.  She also recorded top-eight finishes in the shot put and hammer to help the team win consecutive titles at the event.

The Bargersville, Ind., native earns her first career weekly outdoor accolade and is the second consecutive Greyhound to be recognized by the conference in as many weeks.  Sophomore jumper Sydney Weinert was tabbed as the league’s top Field Athlete last week.
