Drury University senior runner Erin Dolan and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Katy Watson were selected Wednesday as Great Lakes Valley Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, respectively.

At the Saint Louis University Invitational, Dolan turned in a NCAA provisional qualifying performance, winning the 10,000-meter run in a time of 35:25.08.  Her time places her third in the nation and tops among all GLVC runners in the event.  The Lincoln, Neb., native also helped her team to a fifth-place finish in the meet by placing fourth in the 1,500-meter run and second in the steeplechase, which was actually first among college athletes.
 
Dolan receives her first outdoor award of her career and is the first Drury standout to earn GLVC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.  Emilie Gray twice earned Field Athlete of the Week last year on April 10 and April 24.  Dolan also broke the barrier a few months back by becoming the first Panther in program history to receive a weekly award during the indoor season.
