Saint Joseph’s College senior catcher Kolin Conner and sophomore slinger Jordan Peterson have been named Great Lakes Valley Conference baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office on Monday.

The Saint Joseph's tandem swept the weekly awards after sweeping Lewis University to take sole possession of first place last week in the GLVC East Division.

Conner impressed against the Flyers' pitching going 11-for-16 from the plate with a homerun, two triples, two doubles, and 12 RBIs and six runs scored.  He recorded a slugging percentage of 1.250 with an on-base percentage of .688 against Lewis.  Conner was responsible for 18 of the 30 runs that SJC scored this past weekend.  The Indianapolis, Ind., native, who is now hitting .323 on the season with 38 RBIs and 23 runs scored, earned his first-ever weekly honor from the conference office and is the second Puma this season to be recognized (Jake Roberts, March 6).

The Pumas welcome the University of Indianapolis to Gil Hodges Field tomorrow in a Tuesday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. CDT.
