University of Indianapolis senior running back Klay Fiechter, Saint Joseph's College junior linebacker Gary Yeoman, and Truman State University sophomore running back Aaron Hartfield have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday.  Fiechter was named Offensive Player of the Week, Yeoman was picked as Defensive Player of the Week, while Hartfield was selected as Special Teams Player of the Week.

In Truman State's 45-7 victory over William Jewell, Hartfield got a clean block of Zane Kitchell's punt late in the first half, which ended in the hands of Tremaine Millender for a touchdown to make the score 35-0.  Hartfield's block was one of two punt blocks for the Bulldogs on Saturday.  In addition to his defensive duties on special teams, Hartfield also returned one punt for 24 yards and totaled 76 all-purpose yards on the night.  On the offensive side of the ball, he added nine rushes for 44 yards and a touchdown while catching one pass for eight yards.  This is the Fort Worth, Texas, native's first career weekly honor for the GLVC, and it also marks the third Special Teams Player of the Week accolade for Truman this season.  Millender earned the season's first weekly award on Sept. 9, while punter Jacob Lamp was honored on Sept. 23.
