Indianapolis, Ind. – Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Kaitlin Colosimo (Orland Park, Ill.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Pitcher of the Week.

  

Colosimo collected three wins last week for the 13th-ranked Cougars.

 

The sophomore pitcher started her weekly efforts with a complete-game win over Bellarmine, 2-1. She allowed just one run and three hits while striking out four.

 

She returned in the first game of the Northern Kentucky doubleheader on April 7 to post three innings of relief work. She collected the win in the 4-3 decision by allowing just two hits, no runs and striking out six.

 

Colosimo finished the day by throwing all five innings of the Cougars’ 10-1 win. She allowed one run and three hits while striking out seven.

 

For the week, she was 3-0 with a 1.20 ERA and 17 strikeouts. The effort improved her mark on the year to 15-2.

 

The Cougars have won four straight and are 28-7 overall and 10-4 in the GLVC.
