Indianapolis, Ind. – The University of Missouri-Rolla’s Lauren Feltmann (St. Louis, Mo.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player of the Week.
Feltmann, a senior third baseman for the Miners, helped her team to a sweep of seventh-ranked Lewis and UW-Parkside last weekend. Missouri-Rolla ended Lewis’ school-record 20-game winning streak with the two wins on April 6.
For the week, she hit .786 with eight RBIs, two runs, a double and home run.
She had her first four-hit game of her career in the team’s first win over Lewis. She was 4-for-4 with two RBI’s in the Miners’ 9-1 win. In the nightcap, she was 1-for-3 at the plate.
Feltmann repeated the four-hit feat in the Miners’ first win over UW-Parkside on April 7. She was 4-for-4 with six RBIs, a double and home run in the 8-5 victory. She capped the weekend with a 2-for-3 effort in the 6-4 win over the Rangers.
Missouri-Rolla is 19-10 overall and 9-5 in the GLVC. Feltman is hitting .266 on the year with 19 RBIs.
