University of Indianapolis redshirt-sophomore quarterback Connor Barthel, Missouri S&T senior linebacker Chris Horn, and Truman State University junior punter Jacob Lamp have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday.  Barthel was named Offensive Player of the Week, Horn was picked as Defensive Player of the Week, while Lamp was selected as Special Teams Player of the Week.

Lamp booted seven punts for an average of 39.3 per punt and a long of 48 in Truman's 28-21 victory over McKendree.  Two of those seven punts were returned, matching the opponents' season total for the entire year with one gaining four yards on the return and the other being driven backwards for an eight-yard loss.  Four of his seven punts landed inside the McKendree 20-yard line, including the final boot of the day with just under a minute to play and the Bulldogs up by seven.  His 38-yarder was fair caught at the McKendree nine, pinning the Bearcats deep into their own territory to prevent a final last-minute drive.  The Kirksville, Mo., native was also honored with GLVC Special Team Player of the Week honors on Sept. 23 of this season and is now the fourth Bulldog to earn the award this season.  Tremaine Millender garnered the first season's award on Sept. 9, while Aaron Hartfield was honored last week.
