Kelly helped anchor the back row for McKendree (8-16, 3-8) en route to a 3-1 showing last week. The Lake Saint Louis, Mo., native handled a team-high 108 digs in 16 sets played, which included wins over Missouri Baptist University (3-2), Malone (3-0), Walsh University (3-0) and a loss to Findlay (2-3). Kelly matched her career high with 40 digs during the Bearcats' five-set win in non-conference play at Missouri Baptist on Tuesday (Oct. 22). She also collected 68 digs during McKendree's three matches at the Crossover Tournament at which the Bearcats posted a 2-1 record. For her efforts, Kelly was named to the All-Tournament Team, becoming the first McKendree player to earn the award at the competition. She cracked McKendree's career top five in digs, posting a career a total of 1,132, to surpass 2012 McKendree Sports Hall of Fame inductee Karen Eversgerd Hoelscher for the No. 5 spot on the all-time list. This is the second time Kelly has been honored by the conference, as she won the award Sept. 10, 2012.
