Winter piloted Southern Indiana (20-6, 11-2 GLVC) to a 3-0 record with road wins against Cedarville (3-0), No. 20 Truman State (3-1), and Quincy (3-0) last week.  Winter began the week by racking up seven blocks in USI’s three-set win over Cedarville Tuesday night.   Her effort helped the Screaming Eagles hold the Yellow Jackets to a .229 attacking clip.  The Germantown, Ill., native returned Saturday with a seven-block performance in USI’s upset over Truman State, where the Bulldogs were held to a .115 attacking mark.  She also tallied a match-high 13 kills in the four-set victory. On Sunday, Winter recorded six total blocks, two of which were solo attempts, as USI held Quincy to .060 attacking percentage in the Eagles’ three-set sweep.  In addition to her defensive presence at the net, Winter contributed 4.00 points, 2.60 kills, and 0.30 aces per set.  For the season, she leads the league with 1.59 blocks per set and has helped the Southern Indiana hold its opponents to a league-low .123 attacking percentage.
