Bellarmine University freshman forward Mary Beth Gorham and University of Wisconsin-Parkside freshman goalkeeper Mallory Geurts have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference women's soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league office Monday.  The freshmen pair earns the final weekly awards of the 2013 season.

With the Knights battling for home field advantage in the postseason GLVC Championship Tournament, Gorham helped lead Bellarmine to an important 3-0 victory over Southern Indiana on Wednesday with two goals on five shots in 74 minutes of play.  The Nicholasville, Ky., native finished the regular season with 12 goals on 96 shots—both tops in the GLVC.  This is Gorham's first career weekly award and the first for a Knight since Amy Kunowski was named GLVC Player of the Week on Oct. 15, 2012.
