McKendree University sophomore wide receiver Cameron James, Missouri S&T senior linebacker Chris Emesih, and Truman State University junior running back Garrett White have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Players of the Week, it was announced by the league office Monday.  White was named Offensive Player of the Week, Emesih was picked as Defensive Player of the Week, while James was selected as Special Teams Player of the Week.

White set a new career high with 158 yards rushing and three touchdowns as Truman defeated Kentucky Wesleyan 35-27 on Saturday. It was the second straight 100-yard rushing day for the junior and his fourth of the season. White took his second of 16 carries on the day around the left side and ran for 57 yards for the game's first score.  He had a 6-yard TD run and a 16-yard scamper in the second quarter that put Truman up 28-7 at the break.  The Liberty, Mo., native was summoned back into the game in the fourth quarter to help the Bulldogs subdue a Panthers rally. On his first carry, he gained 19 yards and a first down, and on a critical third-and-five play, he gathered six yards for the first down to clinch the game.  His 57-yard run was his third run of over 50 yards from scrimmage this season and he now has 803 yards rushing this season.  This is White's first GLVC weekly honor of his career and is the first Bulldog to garner top offensive honors since quarterback Conrad Schottel earned the award nearly a month ago on Oct. 7.
