Heldman was tabbed as the league's top defender for the third time this season after guiding the Screaming Eagles to a 2-0 record in cross divisional play this past week. She averaged 6.50 digs per set as the Eagles posted sweeping victories over Maryville (3-0) and Missouri-St. Louis (3-0). The Greenwood, Ind., native racked up a team-high 24 digs in USI's win over the Saints on Saturday and had a match-high 15 digs against the Tritons. Her play on the weekend helped the Eagles hold their opponents to a combined .155 attacking percentage. Heldman, who ranks first all-time at USI with 1,749 career digs, has 491 digs this season and is averaging a team-high 4.91 digs per set.
