Lewis University freshman Aidan Brennan has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week, it was announced by the conference office today. 
 
Brennan touched the wall first at last weekend’s dual meet at Carthage College, winning back-to-back races in the 50-yard freestyle (21.66) and the 100-yard freestyle (46.76), as well as the 500-yard freestyle (4:42.24).  The newcomer’s efforts helped the Flyers to a 172-90 on Saturday.
 
The Naples, Fla., native earns his second weekly honor of his career as he was also the last Flyer to be recognized by the league on Nov. 20, 2013.
 
Lewis is back in action at 1 p.m. CT this Saturday at Olivet Nazarene in Bourbonnais, Ill.
