Saint Joseph’s College senior Mike Fauser and Lewis University sophomore Adam Barr have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, it was announced on Wednesday.

Fauser won the 800 meters at the Bob Eubanks Invitational at Grand Valley State this past Friday.  His season-opening time of 1:54.64 narrowly missed an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.

This is the Valparaiso, Ind., native’s first career weekly honor and it is the first for a Puma trackster since Tyler Sult was honored as GLVC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Jan. 19, 2010.  Joe Tooks was recognized as last season’s first Field Athlete of the Week on Jan. 16, 2013.
