Bellarmine University junior distance specialist Emily Frith and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Tatiana Zhuravleva have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, it was announced on Wednesday.

Zhuraveleva, a native of Kaze, Russia, garners her first career weekly award.

At UIndy's Greyhound Classic this past weekend, Zhuraveleva threw NCAA provisional qualifying marks in the women's 20-pound weight throw (17.77m) and shot put (13.50m).  Her efforts are currently tops among all GLVC throwers and rank among the top 15 nationally.
