Bellarmine University junior distance specialist Emily Frith and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Tatiana Zhuravleva have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, it was announced on Wednesday.

Frith earns her second straight weekly honor after winning the 5,000 meters at the University of Kentucky's Rod McCravy Invitational, which was promoted as the USTFCCCA Division I Meet of the Week.  Her time of 16 minutes, 55.19 seconds shattered the old school record by 21 seconds – a mark previously held by former All-American Katie Hickey.  Frith is currently ranked first in the conference and fourth nationally in the event.

The Crab Orchard, Ky., native, who was named the 2013 GLVC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year and 2013 GLVC Cross Country Runner of the Year, earns her second career indoor accolade.
