Quincy's sophomore pitcher/infielder Rachel Scrum and Missouri St. Louis' sophomore pitcher Hannah Perryman have been selected the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league on Monday.

In the circle Perryman went 2-1 for Missouri-St. Louis last week, pitching 19.2 innings to finish with a 0.36 ERA, and added 28 strikeouts to her performance.  She opened the season striking out a season-high 10 batters in a complete game, en route to a one-hit shutout against Fort Hays State.  Against No. 1 Central Oklahoma, Perryman retired the first nine batters she faced after fanning five innings, tossing five strikeouts, while giving up five hits in the Tritons' 0-4 loss to the Bronchos.   In relief against Northwestern Oklahoma State, she allowed just one hit in 3.1 innings, and she ended the week picking up the save against Central Missouri in 1.1 innings, striking out all four batters she faced.

The Streamwood, Ill., native and reigning GLVC Pitcher of the Year cracked UMSL's list for career wins with 26, tying for ninth best all-time.

Perryman earns her sixth weekly career distinction.  She was recognized by the league on Feb. 18, March 18, April 1, April 15, and April 22, 2013.
