INDIANAPOLIS – Drury University sophomore guard Kameron Bundy has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Monday.

Bundy helped the No. 2 Panthers to a pair of GLVC home victories this past week, including a 54-52 victory over No. 16 UW-Parkside on Thursday and a 56-53 win over No. 19 Lewis on Saturday.  The Nixa, Mo., native scored 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting and recorded four rebounds, two steals and two assists in 37 minutes against the Rangers.  On Saturday, he netted 23 points, going 9-of-16 from the floor, while adding five steals and two assists in 40 minutes versus Lewis.  Both wins extended the defending national champion’s home court winning streak to 23 games.

For the week, Bundy averaged 19.5 points on 16-of-32 shooting to go along with 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.

This is the first weekly award of Bundy’s career and he is the first Panther to be recognized by the league since Cameron Adams was named GLVC Player of the Week on Dec. 23, 2013.

Drury (22-1, 14-1 GLVC) hits the road for conference action this week, traveling to William Jewell on Thursday and Rockhurst on Saturday.
