INDIANAPOLIS – Bellarmine University junior distance specialist Emily Frith and University of Indianapolis senior thrower Tatiana Zhuravleva have been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, it was announced on Wednesday.

This marks the second time this season (Jan. 29) both Frith and Zhuravleva earned weekly honors together.

Frith ran 9:50.95 in the 3,000 meters at the Grand Valley State Big Meet last week, breaking the second record by three-time All-American Angela Musk.  Her efforts at GVSU put her No. 1 among all 3,000-meter runners in the conference and 14th nationally.

The Crab Orchard, Ky., native, who was named the 2013 GLVC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year, 2013 GLVC Cross Country Runner of the Year, and 2013 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for cross country, earns her third career indoor accolade.
