Truman State University junior outfielder Jarod Hahn and Saint Joseph's College sophomore pitcher Brian Bayliss, Jr., have been respectively named the Great Lakes Valley Conference baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, it was announced by the conference office Tuesday.

Saint Joseph's baseball garners its first weekly award since Jordan Peterson was named GLVC Pitcher of the Week on April 29 – the same week the Pumas' Kolin Conner was recognized as Player of the Week.

In two wins last week, Bayliss impressed on the mound, allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out six in 14.0 innings of work.  In the 2-0 victory over Ohio Dominican in Winter Haven, Fla., he struck out four batters and allowed one hit – a triple – and then kept that runner on base to keep the shutout intact.  In Monday's conference matchup at Maryville, the Clawson, Mich., native again went seven innings, registering one earned run on two hits in the Pumas' 5-1 victory over the Saints.
