INDIANAPOLIS - Missouri St. Louis’ junior first baseman Brianna Butler and sophomore pitcher Hannah Perryman have been selected the Great Lakes Valley Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, it was announced by the league on Tuesday.

Nearly a month ago (March 24), junior left fielder Jena Boudreau and Perryman were respectively honored by the league.

Butler was named league Player of the Week after hitting .375 for the week with nine RBIs, six hits, six runs scored, four homeruns, four walks, and a double in 16 plate appearances.  In 40 game starts, Butler has 38 hits for a season .336 slugging percentage, but registered a 1.188 hitting mark and a .500 on-base percentage.  Among her success last week, Butler tied the Tritons homerun record with a career best 28 homeruns in the second game against Southern Indiana (April 19).  In the two wins against Lindenwood, the Troy, Ill., native was 2-for-2 with four RBIs, and at Bellarmine she went 2-for-3 in game one which produced three RBIs. This is Butler's first career weekly honor.
