INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Bellarmine University’s Denasha Mondy (Louisville, Ky.) is the Great Lakes Valley Conference Female Track and Field Athlete of the Week. The junior set two school records at the Stan Lyons Invitational hosted by Butler University on April 28.

Mondy won the 100-meter dash and the long jump at the event. She posted a time of 11.67 in the 100-meter dash which currently ties her for fourth in NCAA Division II competition this season. The mark also puts her first in the GLVC this season.

Her jump of 5.96 meters in the long jump is also the top mark in the GLVC this year. It ranks her fourth in the nation.

Other top performers in the GLVC last week included SIU Edwardsville’s Callie Glover (Bartlett, Ill.) and UIndy’s Karen Bower (Speedway, Ind.).
